Timely Sermon on the Temptation of Christ

Today we heard a sermon on Temptation of Christ. As we came back home it all started. The water pump broke. The mechanic could not come. For the family of seven it means that all toilets smell like chicken. Besides that I eat some wrong momos and had problems with the stomach. Besides that I was searching for the candles at home and found none. Besides that the baby awoke and was crying. As I was writing a sermon on the Goodness of God (and eating wrong momos) and putting all points on what shall we do in order not to doubt in His goodness and mercy I think I should have added this one – we should’nt doubt His goodness even in the time of temptation. I understand that many may say – Alex, it is life. We face it everyday. I agree. Partly. For when there’s no water, no light, your body coils and wiggles from stomach pain – I bet that at least for a moment you will feel like Job. Including desperate prayers, pity partying and despair. Nevertheless I trust that God will lead us through this all to the end of the tonnel. Thanks for your prayers. As apostle Paul gloried in his weaknesses I try to glory in mine and find joy in those deserts.
