It is hard to find a taxi on a sunny day in Lalitpur. They are somewhere else but not on your street. Nevertheless I was lucky to find one. And that driver did have a working meter in his car.
– Namaste!
– Namste.
– Do you have meter?
– Yes.
– Can you take us to Nakku Chawk?
– Yes.
– Can you take all my family?
– Family? Yes.
I get inside feeling lucky. As we drive I feel a bit nervous. The meter looks suspicious to me. As we come the place it is 253 rupees. Twice the price. Never can I trust meters again. Can I think as a child again? Oh, Nepal! Oh, taxi drivers!
