On Wednesday I went to my first tabla class. That was great! I learned my first rhythm.
It is this: Te – Re – Ke – Tee – Ta – Ke – Ta – Ke. The thing is that I wasn’t able to play it even in slow tempo.
Te – is hitting three last thingers of the right hand on the small drum,
Re – same, but with the second finger,
Ke – hitting the big drum with the whole palm
Tee – which is different from “Te” only by one finger, you have to hit the small drum with only your fourth finger and pinky.
Ta – is the most difficult of sounds to make for me (at least for now) In order to make it you have to hold fourth finger and pinky close to the black dot and make a strong hit with your right hand pointing finger against the side of the small drum.
On the way to the class I listened to the commentary on Galatians and on the way back – “The Gulag Archipelago” by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. That’s it.

В четверг я ходил на моё первое занятие по табла. Это было замечательно. Я вючил мой первый ритм.
Звучит он следующим образом: Te – Рe – Ke – Tee – Ta – Ke – Ta – Ke. Дело в том, что я не смог выстучать его даже медленно. Попробуйте просто сказать это в восьмых нотах и вы почуствуете себя немного барабанщиками. Слава Богу – учитель терпеливый. Всё объясняет по-непальски. Я по-непальски ещё не понимаю. Понимаю жесты и говорю: Азур(хорошо, да, понятно.)
По дороге на занятия слушал комментарии на послание к Галатам, обратно аудио книгу Солженицына “Архипелаг Гулаг”.
