– Дай им понять, что неважно регулярно молиться, так как это “законничество”, важно молиться исключительно по вдохновению.Ну, а когда будет вдохновение, постарайся показать им какое-то неотложное дело.
– Организуй спешку так, чтобы у них не было ни минуты подумать о Небесном, о Библии, и тем более о их ближних и молитве за них.
– Если сможешь организуй всё так, чтобы помощи ближним не было вообще. Награжу!
– Если надо, примени все старые средства, о которых я тебе говорил раньше.
– Старайся, чтобы каждый из членов семьи искал только своего и раздражался по мелочам.
– Если получится, старайся внушить им, что их тёплое самодостаточное христианство это всё, что им нужно, чтобы дойти до Небес. Да, нее забудь включить облако ложного мира. Помогает.
– Да, и побольше фильмов, мультиков, сериалов, компьютерных игр и всякого такого мерцающего яркого, отвлекающего от Небес. И не давай пронуться совести, накорми её “завтраками”.
– Запомни трюк, если твой подопечный станет молиться (или не дай то, поститься, тогда нам конец), напомни ему о его слабом здоровье, если не послушает, скажи, чтобы позаботился о детях, вымыл посуду, сходил в магазин, ну, неужели ты не сможешь отвлечь его какой-то мелочью от той военной мощи, к которой он подходит в своих прошениях к престолу благодати?
– Весь день следи, чтобы взгляд его ума и сердца был прикован к земным вещам. Скажи, что это “нужное земное”. А небесное мол, подождёт. Меняй его приоритеты. Молитвы вообще в том списке не должно быть, а если и будет, то на последнем месте, так, по привычке. Слышишь? Если надо убеждай Писанием, скажи что именно так нужно понимать 1Тим.5:8, а смысл слов Христа в Мф.6:24-26 затумань, а лучше укради, чтобы он никода этого не понял. А то гореть тебе в нижнем кругу!
– Что хочешь делай, но сделай так чтобы он потерял карточки с местами из Писаний врага. Я просто вне себя!
– Хитри, обманывай, переубеждай, убеждай в обратном, как и всегда делал, и не забудь нашего лучшего слова “завтра”.

How to disarm the believers (like in Screwtape Letters)
– Give them to understand, that it is not important to pray regularly, that that is “legalism”, that they have to pray only when they are inspired. And when they have inspiration, then show them some urgent work to do, that is way much more urgent than prayer.
– Arrange the haste in such a manner so that they would have not a single minute to think about Heavenly things, Bible or their relatives or prayer about them.
– If you can, please organize everything so that there would be no mutual help at all. I’ll give you a promotion!
– If needed use all the old tools and methods that I’ve spoken about before.
– Make all the effort that each member of the family would be seeking his own and be irritated because of the smallest things.
– If you can, make them think that their warm, self-sufficient Christianity is all they need to safely reach the Heaven. Don’t forget to turn on the cloud of the false peace. That really helps.
– Yes, and as I told you before, give them more films to watch, cartoons, computer games and all that flickering fluff which can distract them from Heaven.
– And put his conscience to sleep mode, make sure that it is fed up with “tomorrows”.
– Remember that trick, as soon as he starts praying (or if God forbid fasting, then we are doomed!) remind him of his weak health, if he won’t listen then remind him of his children, about cleaning the dishes, about going shopping. Can’t you distract him by some mambo jumbo from that huge arsenal that he is about to tap into, when he comes to the throne of grace?
– All day long observe that the look of his mind and heart would be glued to earthly things. Explain him that those are “essential earthly things”. And all the heavenly stuff can wait, right? Change his priorities. Prayer shouldn’t be there on his list at all, and even if it’s there, then make sure that that is on the last place, just prayer according to habit, without him putting too much effort into that. Do you get me? If needed convince him from Scriptures that that is the way how he should understand 1Tim.5:8 and please make foggy for him the real essence of the words of Christ in Mat.6:24-26. And best of all steal it, so that he never understands its meaning. Otherwise you will burn in the lowest ring of fire!
– Do what you want, but make sure that he looses his Scripture cards with our Enemy’s words. That’s outrageous, do you hear me!
– Be cunning, crafty, lying, convince him, convince him in all the list of lies that I’ve given to you, and don’t forget our best word for all seasons – “tomorrow”.
