Интересно как многие бытовые вещи в Непале становятся центром всего. Дома газовая плита с духовкой – удел каждого смертного. Здесь (такая же) есть лишь у дипломатов и очень богатых людей. Хотя бы теперь знаю как обращаться с простыми китайскими двухконфорочными плитками. Пришло время болезни вещей. Сломался насос. Починили. Дети закрылись в ванной где сломался замок. Открыли. Поломалась плита. Прочистил конфорки. Не помогло. Симптомы те же – угасает огонь и газ свободно наполняет дом. Сегодня утром пошёл смотреть шланг. Оказалось в нём собралось масло. Грязный газ. Попробовал промыть. Не помогло. Тогда отрезал засорённую часть и плитка заработала просто замечательно. Немного выматывает отсутствие электричества(-12 часов каждый день). Скучаю по дому. Молюсь Господу, чтобы с детьми всё было хорошо. В остальном – 5 месяцев, полёт нормальный.
I observe that many casual things in Nepal become the center of everything. At home the regular gas(propane) cooker with a stove is the lot of every mortal man. Here in Nepal it is only for high officials and extremely rich people. It is good however that I learned the design of regular two-burner chinese gas(propane) cookers. The time of “stuff-sickness” is at hand. The water pump was broke. They fixed it. Kids got locked up in the bathroom were the lock was broken. I opened the door and let them go. The gas cooker got broken. Cleaned the burners. That didn’t fix the issue. The sympotms are the same – the fire in the burners goes down and slowly fills the house.Today in the morning I went to see the gas pipe. It appeared that it was filled with oily stuff inside. The gas is dirty here. Tried to wash the pipe with water. Not much help either. Then I cut the greasy part of the pipe. Now the gas cooker works great. We are a bit weary because of low-shedding electricity settings (-12 hours daily). I am so homisick now. I pray to the Lord that all would be well with kids. All else is fine – 5 months, the flight is normal.
